As promised, we continue our series of pre-conference interviews with another professional speaker for this year’s Zabbix conference – Patrik Uytterhoeven.
Last week, all Zabbixers and their families have gathered together in a non-work environment to spend a nice weekend, participating in the 3rd Zabbix Summer Sport Games. 🙂
Zabbix Conference 2014 is less than two months away and soon we all be gathered in Riga, Latvia, to celibate the 4th Zabbix annual international Conference, dedicated company’s flagship product – Zabbix Monitoring Solution! And today we would like to thank those companies that are generously helping us and supporting our upcoming event – honored sponsors!
Last Thursday we’ve started to publish our series of pre-conference interviews with honored speakers of Zabbix Conference 2014. The conference will take place on September 12-13th, so for those who have already registered, you might find it interesting to read more about conference speakers and find out what new information and values are waiting for you at the upcoming event.
With less than 1.5 months left until the 4th annual Zabbix Conference we took a moment to interview our honored speakers of this year’s conference, asking them about their thoughts and plans on the upcoming Zabbix Conference 2014.
In these Zabbix 2.4 feature series we have already seen some improvements for the built-in web monitoring – the ability to specify custom headers and control redirects. Web monitoring got improved further – let’s explore the new options regarding SSL authentication. There are two of them:
- Verifying SSL certificates
- Supplying client certificate
Zabbix 2.4 is the upcoming major Zabbix version. While initially scheduled to be released in May 2014, it will be slightly delayed – Zabbix team is working hard, but there’s still a lot they would like to include in this release. While the new version is being baked, we can already start looking at the new features that will arrive with it. The first one will be a feature that Zabbix Conference 2013 participants voted on – multiple filters for the low level discovery.
